	Untitled Document Third commencement order withdrawn. The long awaited third commencement order, which deals with the October 2007 implementation of the Companies Act 2006, was originally published in early July. However within a few days of it being made available on the OPSI website it was withdrawn and removed from the site. It is believed that errors in the text of the Order were identified whilst the Order was before the Joint Committee on Statutory Instruments. The Order was therefore returned to the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (previously the DTI) for redrafting. The Order has now been relaid before the House and it is now available on the OPSI website. Read more This is a major piece of legislation and many of the transitional provisions needed are very complex. However 1 October 2007 is now less than 3 months away and a delay of this nature is the last thing that busy practitioners who are trying to get their new precedents, procedures and training programmes in place need.
