connect FAQs
- How secure is connect?
Your log on details are linked only to the companies that we administer for you. We have thoroughly tested the service and are confident that no-one except the people who use the log-ons linked to your companies will see the information that we hold on your companies.
However, you must ensure that you keep your log on details and password private. Please see the terms and conditions.
- What information can I access through connect?
The information that you can access is currently the statutory and compliance information on the company, together with some personal information on the directors and members of the company. To see example reports, click here.
The information on your company consists of:
- Company name, number and jurisdiction
- Registered office
- Current directors
- Share capital and current members
- AGM and Annual Return filing dates (where relevant)
- Account filing dates (where relevant)
- Your company's SIC industry code (where supplied)
- Details of your Oswalds' administrator
The information on each director or member consists of:
- Name
- Address
- Date of birth (where required)
- Occupation (where required)
- Nationality (where required)
The information that may be accessed is the information that is available on the public register at Companies House. No confidential information, such as beneficial owner information, is stored on our database, and so there is no danger that this information can be accessed.
- What computing facility do I need to be able to access connect?
You will need a standard web browser and internet connection.
- How do I log on to connect?
You will need to register with us to log on. To do this click here.
We will set you up as a user of connect and, for security, send your password to you by first class post or airmail. When you receive this you will be able to log on and view your information.
- How many log ons may I have?
You may have up to 3 log ons for your own use. So if you want more than one of your colleagues to have access this can be arranged. Please note that each user will have access to all the companies that you have under administration with us.
- You administer companies for me in more than one jurisdiction. Will I see them all through connect?
At this stage you will be able to access information on any company which is registered in the UK or Ireland.
Future developments of this service will enable you to view information held on companies limited by guarantee or LLPs registered in the UK.
We also hope to be able to bring you information on non-UK companies which are administered by our International company administrators who are based in the UK.
If the records are administered by another member of the Jordans' Group, such as our offices in Jersey, Gibraltar or the BVI, you will not be able to view the information through connect.
- How up to date is the information?
The information provided is real-time.
- Who do I contact if I have any questions
Please contact Roddy Sandeman, in our corporate administration department in Edinburgh.
- Are there any plans to develop connect?
Yes! We see this as the start of a process and we aim to add new functionality regularly.
We would also like to hear from you as to what facilities you would like to see included in connect. To give us feedback please click here.
- Is this service available to non-clients of Oswalds?
The service is only available to clients of our corporate administration services.
- Can I use connect to notify you of proposed changes to my company?
Yes – click on the name of the company's administrator to send us an email with the details of the change.
